Officiating Basketball
"It takes a special person - a person with integrity, courage and good judgment. It takes someone extraordinary."
- Barry Mano. President National Association of Sport Officials
The road to success of any new or veteran official is ultimately found in one's ability to lead, to take charge of their games; effectively applying the rules of the game, while demonstrating a working knowledge and commitment to proper officials mechanics and game management. This working knowledge is acquired by working games and through ongoing training provided by EBOA. It is a journey, one that recognizes it takes a great deal of practice, patience, and perseverance to become a good official. It's an opportunity to grow and be part of the greatest game on earth. It's a wonderful journey, filled with many rewards and accomplishments, and we invite you to be part of our team.
